Ingram Content Group is a United States-based service provider to the book publishing industry. This project is mainly about maintaining the publisher and books metadata and managing the inventory and printing press. This project contains more than 50+ applications like windows services, console applications, SSIS, Tibco BW, ASP.Net MVC. As part of this I create generic applications to migrate all old COBOL, TIBCO BW processes to .net applications to reduce the dependency of the older technologies.

Responsibilities :

• Individual contributors involved in all phases of the life cycle of the project including design, development, deployment and testing.
• Getting requirements from clients and solving the problems.
• Responsible for development of modules.
• Performed end to end testing.

Project : Application Engineering - Effective Discount Report (EDR)

A web application which allows Finance to add and remove customers from this program. It generates customer specific detail reporting based on configurable discounts by contract. The EDR application is the exclusive owner of customer discount information and source of the financial refund documentation. The mainframe provides raw sales totals, return totals, and freight data that are used to calculate the EDR per customer by the EDR application. There are scheduled tasks that automatically generate the reports.

Responsibilities :

• Understanding the business and migrating Fox pro application to MVC.
• Created SSIS package for generating month end report.
• Used Resharper tool for code refactoring and maintaining Ingram coding standard.
• Provided support for month end service.

Existing applications handle all the content management including reports using SSRS and data migration work using SSIS packages. Develop creative solutions to satisfy customer requirements. Prepare customized and special project reports to meet customer demands. Maintain contacts with customer's leaders and analyse requirements and service quality and sort out any relevant issues.
